Subscription Update Obituary

     Helen M. (Nestor) Lucier, age 95, died September 21, 2016.

Born in Worcester Massachusetts in 1921, she was the daughter of Patrick and Ellen (Walsh) Nestor. Helen attended Worcester Schools and worked many years for State Mutual Insurance Company before retiring. Helen married Norman E. Lucier in 1941. The couple enjoyed sixty-four years of marriage and raised five children before Norman passed in 2004.

Helen is survived by four daughters; Carol Bourque of Worcester, Mary Ellen Bird of Marston Mills, Maureen Glowik of Paxton, and Michelle Adams of Sutton. Helen was the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Norman; a son, Brian J. Lucier, a brother, Patrick Nestor; a sister Margaret McDonald, and lifelong friends Francis and Doris McCaffrey.

Helen cherished her life with her family and friends. She was an avid New England Sports fan and enjoyed many New England beaches.

Relatives and friends are invited to a calling hour with Helen’s family on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 10:00-10:45 am in the North American Martyr’s Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn. A funeral Mass celebrating Helen’s life will follow at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital , 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn is directing arrangements for the Lucier family.
