Helen M. (Barnicle) Frappier, 100, died peacefully in her home on Monday, February 9 after a brief illness.
Mrs. Frappier was married for 64 years to her late husband, Ernest P. Frappier who died in 2006. She is survived by, and lived with, her son, James E. Frappier and daughter, Virginia A. Frappier. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Helen was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Michael and Delia (McNicholas) Barnicle and is also predeceased by two brothers, Thomas J. Barnicle and John F. Barnicle as well as three sisters, Julia A. Daley, Florence R. Heatherman and Mary V. DeSimone.
Helen was a member of St. Columba Parish in Paxton, and previously had been a long time member of St. Peter’s Parish in Worcester prior to moving with her husband to Monument Beach, MA. She and her family moved to Paxton in 2001. She was very devout and never too far from her rosary and prayer cards. Caring for others was a lifelong commitment. Helen was a graduate of the former Commerce High School in Worcester. She was an avid card player and Red Sox fan, and enjoyed summers at the beach.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, February 14th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St. Worcester, with a Mass at 10 AM in Saint Columba Church, 10 Richards Ave. Paxton. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park. Calling hours are on Friday, February 13th from 4 to 7 PM in the funeral home.
