Helen was born in Fall River, MA. on May 12,1923, she is the daughter of the late Joseph and late Annie (Beswick) Lyons. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Harold E. Chenevert Sr. who died Dec 11, 1991. Helen attended North Brookfield schools and worked at Quabaug (Rubber) Corp. before marrying on Oct. 20,1944, in Warren, MA.

Helen is survived by five children Diane Valencourt of North Brookfield; Richard (Diane) Chenevert of Warren; Harold (Ester) Chenevert of Bristol, RI.; Judith (Paul) Novak of Burlington, VT.; Joseph (Judith) Chenevert of New Braintree; 12 Grandchildren Michelle, Jay, David, Richard, Matthew, Daniel, Kim, Paul, Laurie, Michael, Sean, and Andrew; 15 great-grandchildren; sister Muriel Lane of North Brookfield; sister-in-law Mary Lyons of North Brookfield ; a brother-in-law Kenneth Grimes of Brookfield; many nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by seven brothers and sisters and a son-in-law Joseph Valencourt III of North Brookfield.

Helen was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She also loved her family and we loved her. We also loved her “famous” baked beans and delicious apple pie. One of her favorite places to travel was Hawaii, but a special place in her heart was for Old Orchard Beach, Maine, because she was with family. For more than 50 years summertime meant OOB.

She loved caring for her home, painting, crocheting, and made beautiful afghans. Helen was a member of St Joseph’s Church in North Brookfield MA and a devout Catholic. The family wished to extend their sincere “thanks” to Hospice and Quaboag Rehab and Skilled Care Center of West Brookfeld for their wonderful card and kindness.

A Memorial Mass for Helen will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 11:00 AM in St.Josephs Church 296 Main St. North Brookfield. Burial will be private for the family. Pillsbury Funeral Home 44 Gilbert St. North Brookfield is directing arrangements.
