Subscription Update Obituary

     Helen C. (Chaffee) Malvey, 87, of Leicester, passed away Sunday, October 30th in St. Vincent Hospital. Her husband, Charles A. Malvey died in 2000. She leaves three sons, John J. Malvey and his companion Peggie Mitchell of Brookfield, Patrick Malvey and his companion Luann LaPierre of Spencer, and Michael Malvey and his wife Debra of Oakham; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; nephews and nieces, including Elizabeth Forte, who was like a daughter to her. Her family would like to acknowledge and thank Liz and her husband Robert for the care and support they provided. Helen was predeceased by her siblings; Earl, Elmer, Donald, Amos, Henry, Edwin, and Charles Chaffee, and Dorothy Lamoureaux, Phoebe Parmenter, Jennie Reynolds, Betty, Chaffee, and Georgianna Dyson.

She was born in Leicester, the daughter of Elmer and Jennie (Neff) Chaffee and graduated from Leicester High School. Mrs. Malvey was a housekepper for many years at Cooper’s Farm and Buddy’s Spa. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Auburn.

Her funeral will be held Friday, November 4th with a service at 10:00 A.M. in Bethel Lutheran Church, 90 Bryn Mawr Avenue, Auburn. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Thursday, November 3rd from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester. Donations in her memory may be made to Summit Eldercare, 88 Masonic Home Road, Charlton, MA 01507.
