Subscription Update Obituary

Gloria Irene Luthman of Worcester, Massachusetts, formerly of Darnell Road, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 9, 2026, at the age of 89.

She was born on February 9, 1937, in Worcester, Massachusetts, to Irene and Raymond Knight. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ronald K. Luthman.

She is survived by her son, Mark Luthman of Hubbardston, her daughter, Kim Myles-Hedgepeth of Holden, her granddaughter, Monica Denny of West Virginia, and two great-grandchildren.

Gloria graduated from Commerce High School. She worked as a secretary at Creditor Service Bureau and later as a medical transcriptionist at Fallon.

Travel was an important part of Gloria’s life. Through Overseas Adventure Travel, she visited many parts of the world and enjoyed learning about different cultures, history, and people. She especially enjoyed Thailand, Egypt and Germany.

Gloria was a longtime member of St. George Catholic Church, where her faith and involvement in her church community were a meaningful part of her life for over 60 years.

She also dedicated her time to a black lab rescue, conducting home evaluations to help place dogs in safe and caring homes.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM this Thursday, April 16th at St. George Catholic Church, 40 Brattle St., Worcester. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St., Worcester.
