     Gladys R. Bottomly, 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 27, 2016 in Holy Trinity Nursing Home in Worcester

She was predeceased by her husband Alec W. Bottomly in 1996. She is survived by her sister, Evelyn Hafler of Cummings, GA ; her children Alec H. Bottomly & his wife Millie of Hillsboro, NH.,Karen M. Karnes & her husband William of Huddleston, VA, Shirley B. Robbins of Sturbridge, MA and Linda J. Iacovone & her husband Louis of Worcester.

Gladys was born March 14, 1925 in Worcester the daughter of Matthew S. and Martha W. (Binley) Halsdorff.

Gladys was a member of the Barre Senior Center and worked the nutrition site there for many years. She also belonged to the Golden Age Club and the First Congregation Church of Barre. She loved baking, water color painting and sewing.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 10:30AM in Worcester County Memorial Park Richards Ave. Paxton. Donations may be made in her name to the Holy Trinity Nursing Home “Activity Fund” 300 Barber Ave. Worcester,MA.01606. Pillsbury Funeral Home 96 S.Barre Rd. Barre is directing arrangements.
