Subscription Update Obituary

     Gertrude R. (Nolan) Setterlund, 97, formerly of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 27, 2015, at EPOCH Senior Healthcare of Brewster. Her husband, Theodore O. Setterlund, Sr., died in 1996. She leaves a son and daughter-in-law, Gary B. and Carolyn Setterlund of South Dennis; two brothers, William Nolan and his wife Jean and Lloyd Nolan and his wife Kathleen of North Grafton; a sister, Catherine Atchue of Anaheim, CA; 7 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a son, Theodore Setterlund, Jr., a grandson, Theodore Setterlund, III, and three sisters, Ellen Murphy, Lena Rivers, and Rose Riel.

She was born in North Grafton, daughter of the late William J. and Gertrude R. (Dumas) Nolan. She worked at Astra Pharmaceuticals for many years. She was an active member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Worcester and a member of the Greendale School Women’s Bowling League. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 10-11 a.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester, MA 01605. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Jimmy Fund, PO Box 849618, Boston MA 02884-9168.
