Georgianna “Gerri” (Morin) Lagacé, 79, of Worcester, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, in the comfort of her home. Her husband of fifty-six years, Ronald H. Lagacé, predeceased her in April 2014.
She is survived by her children, three sons, David P. Lagacé and his long time companion Candy Rand Snyder of Worcester, Mark S. Lagacé and his wife Lynn of Auburn, and Michael E. Lagacé of Douglas; a daughter, Janice E. Lagacé and her long time companion Neil J. Bond of Worcester; a sister, Rita Boisvert in Florida; two brothers, Robert Morin and Roger Morin, both of Woonsocket, RI; four grandchildren, Leslie Kozloski of Worcester, Stash Kozloski and his wife Trisha of New Haven, CT, Liane and Alexis Lagacé of Auburn; three great grandchildren Lukasz, Addisyn and Morgann Kozloski; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Ronald Morin. Gerri was born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, daughter of the late Frank J. and Loretta C. (Languirand) Morin. She graduated from Woonsocket High School in 1953.
Gerri focused her life on her loving husband Ron, and the family they created. She enjoyed crocheting afghans for each family member, reading, caring for her tremendous collection of plants and lovingly being “Mem” to her grandchildren. She was a member of Saint Stephen’s Church. She was a very dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.
Calling Hours will be held on Monday, June 1, 2015, from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester; followed by a procession to Saint Stephen’s Church, 357 Grafton Street, Worcester, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
