Subscription Update Obituary

     George E. Bahosh, 85, of Rutland, died Sunday, April 23, 2017 at UMASS Memorial Hospital in Worcester.

He was the husband of Ilona Bahosh who predeceased him. He leaves a son Gary E. Bahosh and his wife Joni of Newport, ME., three daughters Teresa Kowalczyk and her husband John of E.longmeadow, Cynthia Kowalczyk and her husband Eugene of Brookfield and Doreen Dziokonski and her husband Dennis of Clinton, a sister Marion T.Duszak of Worcester, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a brother Joseph Bahosh.

George worked at Worcester Woven Label Co. for 20 years, and later at ElectroWeave in Worcester for 30 years before retiring in 2011.

Born in Clinton, he was the son of John Bahosh and Viola (Blake) Bardi and later served his country with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. In his younger years he enjoyed coin and stamp collecting and built many radio controlled airplanes which he enjoyed flying .

The family would like to thank the staff in the E.R. and CCU at UMASS Memorial for their compassion and kindness while he was under their care.

Private graveside services with Military Honors will be held in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. Please omit flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.Box 417005, Boston, Ma.02241-7005.
