Subscription Update Obituary

     Gary P. Cipro, beloved son of Christine V. Cipro and the late Vito E. Cipro passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, May 24th 2015.

Born in Worcester, he graduated from Classical High School and then Boston University. At an early age, he showed his talent in the artistic field, which led to his becoming a floral designer. He was employed at the Worcester Horticultural Hall where he received many awards and his career was launched. He later became an interior designer and managed the Boston showroom of furniture designer, Mario Belloni from Milan, Italy. He then worked at the Donghia showroom. He also had success as a freelance designer in Worcester and Boston.

In addition to his mother Christine, Gary leaves a brother Paul and his wife, Virginia of Worcester, and his sister Cheryl and her husband, George Groth of Larchmont, NY. He will be greatly missed by his 4 nephews, Jon Cipro, Timothy, Daniel, and Benjamin Groth, and his 2 grandnephews, William and Quinlan Groth. He also leaves behind many extended relatives and dear friends.

Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Friday, May 29th 2015 from 4 pm to 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. His funeral will be held Saturday May 30th from the funeral home with a procession to Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant St. where his funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Burial next to his father Vito will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in his name can be made to the Central Mass VETS INC. 60 Grove Street 01608.
