Subscription Update Obituary

     Frank B. Peters, 93, a resident of Worcester for 80 years, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015 in the Mt. St. Vincent Care Center in Holyoke, MA. His wife of 60 years, Violet M. (Larson) Peters predeceased him. He leaves a daughter, Diane M. White and her husband Ken of Tampa, Florida, a son Bruce A. Peters and his wife Beth of Springfield, Missouri, a daughter in law Elizabeth (Lyssa) Peters of Springfield, MA, 6 grandchildren – Rebecca Boyd, Rachael Gray, Alexander Peters, Lara Peters Bonomi, Brock and Kara Peters; 4 great grandchildren – David, Violet, Abigail, and Hunter; 2 brothers – Robert Peters and Melvin Peters and his wife Nancy; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Frank B. Peters, Jr.

Frank was born in Worcester, son of the late Frank A. Peters and Hazel (Burrill) White. He worked for many years as a laborer in the former Norton Company in the pulp stone department. He was an active member of First Assembly of God Church from its early days until he moved to Springfield, MA in 2004 to be near his son. He was a wonderful family man, and loved to be with his children and grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at Mt. St. Vincent Care Center for their excellent care of Frank for the last 6 1/2 years.

A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 18th from 10-11 a.m. In First Assembly of God Church 30 Tyler Prentice Rd. Worcester. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the church. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the HOME SWEET HOME RAMP PROGRAM, Stavros Center for Independent Living, 210 Old Farm Road, Amherst, MA 01002.
