An individual with a big heart and huge circle of friends. Frank was a proud Marine and proud of his service to his country. He was an active member of the Marine Corps League in Worcester, lifetime member of the Auburn Sportsman Club and its Horseshoe league. He also enjoyed playing cribbage or horseshoes with friends wherever he could. Watching western movies, candlepins for bowling, and wheel of fortune with Dolores were always special moments. The greatest times in his life were those spent with family; having Dolores, his children and grandchildren around him whenever he could, including holidays, special occasions or family dinners, were always his greatest moments. In his youth Frank played the saxophone and clarinet and along with his siblings formed a band. On Sundays they performed under the Elm tree on the family farm where neighbors and the community enjoyed live performances.
Due to the covid-19 outbreak, calling hours are family only with funeral services following on Friday, March 20th. The family invites and encourages those wishing to join the funeral procession beginning at 12:45 pm to Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton, where he will be buried with U.S. Marine Corps Military Honors. Flowers may be sent or memorial remembrances in his name can be made to help a veteran with a donation to the Vet’s Inc, 60 Grove Street, Worcester. MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
