Subscription Update Obituary

    Francis M. Haire, 76, of Shrewsbury, died on Monday, January 11th in the Radius Health Care Center of Worcester after an illness.

    Mr. Haire is survived by his wife, Cecile (Gosselin) Haire of Shrewsbury; a son, Steven T. Haire of Italy; a daughter, Denise E. Cote of Holland, MA; a brother, Willis K. Haire Jr. of Shrewsbury; two sisters, Margaret Brien of Rhode Island and Barbara Truelson of Shrewsbury; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. Francis was born in Worcester son of the late Willis K. and E. Margaret (Welch) Haire and is predeceased by a sister Ruth Rondeau.

    Mr. Haire served in the United States Army during the Korean War and is a member of the Korean War Veterans Association.

    Francis was a member of the Greendale Retired Men’s Club and a friend of the Shrewsbury Senior Center.

    The funeral will be held on Thursday, January 14th at 10 AM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are on Wednesday, January 13th from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Summit Elder Care, 277 East Mountain St., Worcester, MA 01606 or to Shrewsbury Senior Center, c/o the Village Café, 98 Maple Ave., Shrewsbury, MA 01545.
