Subscription Update Obituary

     Francis J. Remillard, 85, also known as “Fran the man” died Thursday, August 28, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Marie A. (Ellstrom) Remillard in 1991.

He is survived by five children, Ann Marie Allia and her husband Peter of Grafton, Joanne F. Roberts and her husband Andrew of Spencer, William F. Remillard and his wife Sandra of Barre, Tammy L. Millette and her husband James of Auburn, and Michael D. Remillard and his wife Dawn of Worcester; nine grandchildren, who meant the world to him, Billy, Jessie, P.J., Jonathan, Kimberly, Andrew, Tyler, Stephani and Madison; two great grandchildren, Joline and Jackson; a sister, Florence Grey of Worcester; nephews and nieces.

Francis was born in Worcester, son of Joseph and Mary (Doherty) Remillard. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. Before retirement Francis operated Budget Transmission with his son Bill, and prior to that, he worked for the City of Worcester and Lamoureux Distributors.

A private burial will be held at Worcester County Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the care of LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler Street, Worcester.
