Subscription Update Obituary

     Mrs. Frances (Bourell) Lindgren, 93, passed away on Sunday October 2nd after a brief illness.

Fran was born on December 20, 1922 in Washington, D.C. a daughter of the late Frank and Georgianna (Mongeau) Bourell. Loving wife of fifty eight years to the late S. Robert Lindgren whom she lost on September 19, 2010.

Fran was educated through the Grafton schools, graduating in 1940 from Grafton High School. She began work a short time later at Norton Company as an administrative assistant and also where she met her husband Bob. They married in 1952.

Fran was and avid gardener and a bowler, winning the Massachusetts Bowling Associations Candlepin Bowling Championship in 1950. Her pets especially her dogs were her best friends and an important part of her life.

She is survived by her two sons, Robert Lindgren and his wife Teresa, Gary Lindgren and his wife Nancy; a daughter, Lori Houle; six grandchildren, Charles Lindgren and his wife Cynthia, Daniel and Jeffrey Lindgren, Michael Houle, Kristina Lindgren, Jennifer Houle; and two great grandchildren, Eric Lindgren and Layla Houle.

The Lindgren family would like to thank the staff at Overlook in Charlton in the Fieldstone Memory Unit for the professionalism and caring their Mom received.

Fran was pre-deceased by her brother Roy Bourell and sister, Doris Michalski.

Fran’s calling hours will be on Thursday, October 6th from 10:30am to 11:30am at FAZIO FUNERAL HOME, 9 Branch St, Worcester. A prayer service at the Funeral Home will begin at 11:30am Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association of MA and NH, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA. 02472. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Louis M. Fazio Jr. and Louis M. Fazio III.
