Subscription Update Obituary

     Florence “Flo” Wakeen Smith , 100, formerly of Worcester, MA passed away peacefully on October 19th in Hampton, NH surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Brockton, on March 16, 1915, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Khoury) Barouk. Flo was a life-long resident of Worcester, Massachusetts who spent the last 13 years in Hampton, NH.

Flo had an active working career in hairdressing, and customer sales for companies such as Chess King. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Worcester, MA.

Her legacy was that of her kind and warm spirit and her love to all who knew her.

Flo was predeceased by her first husband, Herbert Wakeen, her son Paul Wakeen, her daughter, Janice Deibert , second husband Clarence Smith, and step-son Edward Smith.

She is survived by her son-in-law, John Deibert of Hampton; step-son, Ronald Smith of Sturbridge, MA; four granddaughters, two grandsons; fourteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Her funeral will take place on Friday October 23rd at FAZIO FUNERAL HOME, 9 Branch St. Worcester, MA. A funeral service will follow at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 11:00 am. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, Oct 22 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Interment will be in Worcester County Memorial Park . IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 256 Hamilton St., Worcester, MA 01604. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Louis M. Fazio Jr. and Louis M. Fazio III.
