Subscription Update Obituary

     Evelyn M. “Polly” (Caribo) Goddard, 86, of Turner Road, died Sunday, October 29, 2017, in her home. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Roger A. Goddard; her daughter, Christine A. Bilodeau of North Oxford; her brother, Richard Caribo of Worcester; two grandchildren, Cole Goddard and Chad Bilodeau; a great-granddaughter, Delaney; nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her son, Roger A. Goddard Jr. who died in 2000; and a brother, Norman Caribo of Florida who died in 1999. She was born in New London, CT, daughter of the late Cletus and Gladys (Philblade) Caribo, and lived in Worcester and South Carolina before moving to North Oxford in 1968. She graduated from Chicora High School in Charleston, SC, in 1950.

Mrs. Goddard worked at Worcester Knitting for 15 years. She was a member of St. Ann’s Church in North Oxford. Enjoyed wintering in Florida and playing cards with her friends.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2017, at St. Ann’s Church, 652 Main St., North Oxford. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Calling hours are Thursday from 9:30 – 10:15 a.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oxford Animal Shelter, 325 Main St., Oxford, MA 01540.
