Subscription Update Obituary

     Evelyn I. (Gosselin) Dunton, 76, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2015 at the Life Care Center of Auburn.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Edward and Mildred (Knight) Gosselin. She leaves her husband of 44 years, James H. Dunton and four children, Phillip E. Ferland and his wife Fay of Dudley; Michelle J. Lowell of Putnam, Ct: Kathryn E. Farnsworth Dunton and her husband Robert Farnsworth of Putnam, Ct; and Michael W. Dunton of Worcester: She also leaves a brother Russell Gosselin and his wife Angelina of Charlton, Ma, 9 grandchildren Phillip Ferland, Keith Ferland, David, Hans, Dustin and Timothy Lowell, Seth Farnsworth Dunton, Rachel Farnsworth, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She attended Malvern Rd School, Providence St Jr High and David Hale Fanning Trade High School where she became a dressmaker. She was a lifelong member of the Girl Scouts of America where she was an active member with the Museum Committee and a member and past president of the College Hill Civic Association. Her hobbies included photography, camping, gardening, reading, bird watching and crafts. She enjoyed going to the Auburn Senior Center and socializing with friends.

The Dunton family would like to extend their appreciation and thankfulness to the nursing, housekeeping and administrative staff at the Life Care Center of Auburn for their kindness, help and support.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, March 13, 2015 from 4-7 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St, Auburn. A service celebrating her life will be on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 12 NOON at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Girl Scout Museum of Worcester, 31 Gold Star Blvd., Worcester, MA 01606. To leave a note of condolence for the family or to view her Book of Memories.
