Evelyn Gail (Crawford) Munro, 65, formerly of Holden and Rutland, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012 in Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE. She was born on June 17, 1946 in Holden, the daughter of the late Lewis & Ruth (Oberg) Crawford and graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in 1964.

Evelyn had worked as a receptionist/secretary for Parkview R.V. in Smyrna, Delaware for over five years, before retiring. Previously, she and her husband owned Rutland Center Variety. She was a member of The First Congregational Church of Rutland and loved crafting and her kitty Cuddles.

Evelyn is survived by her husband of 47 years, Clifford B. Munro; her siblings, Joan Field of Felton, Delaware, Richard Crawford of Holden, Edward Crawford of Princeton, Carolyn Parker of Holden, Pearl McCarthy of New Hampshire, and Dorothy Joubert of Sanford, Florida; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Charles Crawford and a sister, Esther Ellein.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. A committal service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2, at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center, Christiana Hospital, 4701 Ogletown-Stanton Road, Newark, DE 19713.
