Subscription Update Obituary

     Eugenie MaryAnn Yvonne (Couture) Davis, 75, passed away at Saint Vincent’s Hospital on Mon. June 19, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Roger Davis in 2016, and a daughter Mary Jean Lavallee in 2008. Eugenie is survived by 3 children; Sheryl Davis of Douglas, Steven Davis of Galena, OH and Mark Davis and his wife Norma of Douglas; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a brother Arthur J. Couture Jr. of Worcester, and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brothers; Armand Guerin, and Joseph Guerin, and her sister; Leona Goguen.

Born in Worcester on Aug. 18, 1941 she was the daughter of Arthur J. Sr. and Elizabeth (Richer) Couture. Eugenie loved her family deeply and cherished attending all family gatherings. She had a great sense of humor, and will always be remembered as a very strong woman and a “wise Gal”. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Her Funeral will be held on Fri. June 23 from Jackman Funeral Home, 7 Mechanic St., Douglas with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mark’s Church, 356 Boston Rd., Sutton. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held on Fri. June 23 from 9-10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eugenies memory may be made to: The American Kidney Foundation, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852.
