Subscription Update Obituary

     Eugene P. Castonguay, Sr., 80, devoted husband of 56 years to Mary J. (Goodwin) Castonguay, died July 29, 2012 at home following an illness. He was born in Spencer, to Leon and Florence (Gaucher) Castonguay. Eugene served his country in the U.S. Airforce during peacetime. He was last employed by Stone and Lime Imports, North Brookfield until March of this year. Previously, he had been employed as a forms maker for many years at Chase Precast also North Brookfield. Eugene was also a self-employed master carpenter. He enjoyed playing golf, bowling, and billiards. Eugene was a member of St. Joseph Church, North Brookfield. He was a loving father to Eugene P. Castonguay Jr. and his wife Jane, of Holland; Garry Castonguay and his wife Carol; an adoring grandfather to Shanon, Melissa, and Michael Castonguay; and a cherished great-grandfather to Cael Downey. Eugene was also a dear uncle to his nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Pillsbury Funeral Home, Old W. Brookfield Road, Brookfield. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Church, North Brookfield. Private Burial. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Research, 313 Washington St., Newton, MA 02118 or to VNA Care, Network and Hospice, 123 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608.
