Subscription Update Obituary

     Ethel Shirley Jones Trottier, 87, died January 1, 2014 from complications related to a long illness. Ethel was born February 28, 1926 to Jane Cottrel and Albert E B Jones. She was married to George Leonard Trottier from Auburn Mass for 67 years. She moved to Vernon Ct in 1963 where she raised her family and had worked at Aetna Life and Casualty for 25 years. She devoted a great deal of time as an active member of St Johns Episcopal church and volunteered her time to local thrift shops. After retiring, she moved to N. Charleston to enjoy the warm weather, reading, traveling, cooking, sailing, cherished friends, and her precious dog, Nicholas.

     Ethel adored her family. She is survived by her husband Leonard Trottier of N Charleston,SC,daughter Linda Marcotte married to Robert Marcotte of Manchester Ct,Cheryl Ringo married to John Ringo of Colchester Ct, and her son Paul Trottier with Debra Edwards of Coventry Ct. She cherished her grandchildren; Lieutenant Brett Ringo of Newport RI, US Navy, Sarah Ringo of Colchester Ct, Rachael Marcotte of Bolton Ct, Joseph Trottier of Jewitt City Ct, Michael Trottier of Windham Ct, Airman Stephen Trottier, Dwess Airforce Base, Texas, and Jennifer Trottier of Vernon Ct. She was predeceased by her brothers Richard and Edward.

     Service will be held at Caswell King Funeral Home Friday January 10 at 11:00 am, 474 Grove St Worcester, MA. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association . “It is in dying that we are born again to eternal life.” Rest in Peace, your loving family.
