Subscription Update Obituary

     Eneida R. (Griffith) Mairs, 78, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2015 in Worcester Rehabilitation Healthcare Center with her family by her side.,

Eneida is survived by five sons, Arturo Wilburn of Panama, Roland T. Mairs, Jr. and his wife Marilyn of Worcester, Robert Mairs and his wife Julie of Arizona, Michael and Mark Mairs both of Worcester; three sisters; nine grandchildren including Roland T. Mairs, Jr., Yanitza Wilburn, Arturo Wilburn, Jr., William, Jesse, Justin and Jazmine Mairs; three great grandchildren, Kalani, Kristofer and Makaih Mairs; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son, William Wilburn and her daughter, Rosa Wilburn.

Eneida was born in Calidonia, Panama, a daughter of the late Arturo and Josefina (Saenz) Griffith, where she graduated from High School and lived till 1964 until she moved to Worcester where she has been ever since. Eneida worked as a wire bonder for Micro Network for over 20 years and for the Worcester Public Schools from 1968-1978 retiring in 2000. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, knitting and crocheting.

A period of calling hours for Eneida will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. in the MERCADANTE FUENRAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester and again from 9:45-10:30 am on Friday, January 23rd followed by a procession to Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton where interment will take place at 11 am. Flowers are welcome.
