Elaine Poulin Kokernak was born March 15, 1919, lived a full life and passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on March 24, 2014 under Hospice Care after a brief hospitalization for pneumonia. She was the wife of the late John (“Jack”) Kokernak, who died in 1991. Elaine was preceded in death by her eldest son Jimmy in 2006. She is survived by her son Bruce; two grandchildren, Scott and Kim; a great granddaughter, Alexandra; a sister Lillian and several nieces and nephews. She lived her entire life as a good Catholic woman, went to Mass every Sunday for as long as she was able and when she found she was no longer able to attend Mass because of her frailty, still managed to watch the Mass on T.V. and made arrangements to receive Communion in her home. She will be missed.

There will be a Mass celebrating the life of Elaine Poulin Kokernak at 9am Saturday, September 6, 2014 at St. Anthony’s of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Rd, Dudley, MA 01571 Phone: (508) 949-0335. Following the approximately one hour long Mass, her remains will be transported to the Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, MA where she will be buried next to her late husband Jack Kokernak, who died in 1991. This was Elaine’s final wish. Family and friends are invited to attend this celebration.
