Elaine F. (Gregoire) Wronski, 63, of Breakneck Rd., passed away at home with her loving family by her side, on Friday, July 2nd after a courageous battle with cancer.

She leaves her beloved husband of 41 years, Stanley P. Wronski, Jr.; her two daughters, Katie H. Gaipo and her husband Nelson of Holden and Kim M. Wronski and her husband Brandon Jones of Framingham; her two sisters, Jacqueline Malone and Deborah Fitton; three grandchildren, Connor Gaipo, Amelia Jones, and Audre Jones; and her dear friend, Linda of 50 years.   Elaine was predeceased by her brother, David Gregoire.

She was born in Worcester the daughter of the late Edmond and Helen (Szydlowski) Gregoire.

Elaine graduated from Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration.  She worked at Harrington Memorial Hospital as the Executive Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer.   Elaine was a devoted member of Saint Anne Saint Patrick Parish in Sturbridge.

Elaine loved to spend time with her family – from simple weekends playing with her grandchildren, shopping trips with her daughters, and hosting large holiday gatherings.  She loved to have the family together.

Everyone who knew Elaine, loved Elaine.  She was kind, humble and always saw both sides to every story – she was the peacemaker.  She loved to laugh and hers was contagious.

Elaine shared a beautiful marriage with her husband, Stan.  They enjoyed travelling as a family, but also as a couple.  They often spent the evening playing cards or scrabble as well as watching old movies and BBC shows.

As a Mom, Elaine always listened and never offered too much advice, just enough.  She was loving and nurturing and provided guidance and comfort through complicated and difficult times.  Her daughters both grew to love her not only as Mom and Mema to their children, but as a friend and confidant.

Her grandchildren were the light of her life.  As their Mema, she enjoyed vacations to Florida and Maine, tea parties, puzzles, playing dinosaurs and watching them grow and explore.  She was their favorite babysitter.

Elaine enjoyed being active at the gym, practicing yoga or walking the dog.  She enjoyed time in nature – birdwatching on the screen porch and especially walking on the beach.  She was also artistic and painted the many birdhouses in the yard among other projects.

Elaine was a woman of great faith and devoted time to her relationship with God and the Church through volunteerism.  She enjoyed expanding her knowledge of the scripture in classes offered at the church and listening to Christian music radio.

The family extends special thanks to Dr. Susan Zweizig and the Umass Memorial OB/Gyn-Gynecologic Oncology team for the incredible care they provided to Elaine during her nearly 10 year battle.

A funeral Mass for Elaine will be held on Friday, July 9th, at 11:00 am in St. Anne/St. Patrick Church, 16 Church St., Sturbridge.  There are no calling hours.   Burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton will be private at a later date.

Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St. Southbridge is directing the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ovations for the Cure, 79 Main St., Suite 202, Framingham, MA 01702 or online at www.ovationsforthecure.org
