Subscription Update Obituary

     Elaine F. (Smith) Hogan, 75, formerly of Worcester passed away February 26th, 2015 with her devoted family gathered by her side.

Elaine’s husband Ronald A. Hogan passed away inn 1984. She leaves behind, her three children, UPS feeder driver Robert F. Hogan and his wife Gayle of Dudley, Deborah A. “Debbi” Manzello of Oxford, Teamsters Local 170, Secretary- Treasurer Michael P. Hogan of Dudley; a sister, Joanne Pletcher in New Hampshire; five grandchildren she cherished, Aimee Jurgaitis and her husband Matthew, Ronald A. Hogan II, Justin Manzello, and twins Michael and Katie Hogan; a great granddaughter, London and Many nieces nephews and extended family members. Besides her husband, a brother, George J. Smith also predeceased her.

Elaine loved life and especially her family. She dedicated herself to caring for and ensuring that her husband, children and grandchildren were cared for. Nothing made her more satisfied than having her children around her. She loved to sew, cook, listen to music and attend her son Bobby’s Band performances.

Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Sunday, March 1st from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be held Monday, March 2nd from the funeral home with a procession to Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial next to her husband will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, Elaine can be remembered with a donation to the
Alzheimer’s Association of Massachusetts, 480 Pleasant St, Watertown, MA 02472.
