WORCESTER — Eileen F. (Hennessey) Sullivan, 87, of 5 Suburban Road, formerly of 184 St. Nicholas Ave., died Wednesday, May 15, in UMass Memorial Medical Center — Memorial Campus after a long illness.

Her husband of 45 years, Edward R. Sullivan, died in 1993. She leaves two sons, Edward R. Sullivan Jr. of Worcester and James E. Troy of Hardy, Va.; two daughters, Eileen F. Palmer of Centerville and Deborah Anne Sullivan of Worcester; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Paul N. and Helen C. (Power) Hennessey, and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy.

Mrs. Sullivan worked in private duty nursing for many years before she retired. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church.

The memorial Mass will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 18, in St. Bernard’s Church, 228 Lincoln St. After cremation, burial will be at the family’s convenience. There are no calling hours. Kelly Funeral Home, 154 Lincoln St., is directing arrangements.
