Subscription Update Obituary

     Edna M. (Peterson) Hill, 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 9, 2018 in Knollwood Nursing Center. Edna was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Gustaf and Helen (Winberg) Peterson. She graduated from North High School, married in 1953, and worked for many years as a secretary at WPI and for several law offices in Worcester. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Anna Circle and was a member of the former Scandinavian Women’s Club. She lived in Worcester for most of her life, first on Tower St. and then residing in the Hill family home on Housatonic St. until moving to Briarwood Assisted Living Facility and Knollwood Nursing Facility in West Boylston.

She leaves her sister-in-law Ruth Denman; many nieces and nephews- Robert Erickson and his wife Judy, Donald Erickson, Martha George, Gordon Johnson, James Denman and his wife Sandra, Steven Denman and his wife Deborah, Jeff Peterson and his wife Sharlene, and Karin Peterson; many great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Raymond B. Hill, and her brother and sister-in-law Howard and Ginny Peterson.

A calling hour will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 9-10:00 a.m. in Christ Chapel of Trinity Lutheran Church 73 Lancaster St. followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Edna’s name may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
