Subscription Update Obituary

Douglas C. Goodrich, 79 of Millbury passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, in the comfort of his home. His wife of 49 years, Susan B. (Brewer) Goodrich died in 2018.

Douglas was born in Worcester, MA the son of the late John W. and Eileen P. (Johnson) Goodrich. He served in the Army National Guards. He lived in Worcester most of his life , moving to Leominster in 1989 and most recently to Millbury. Douglas worked for the City of Worcester Water Department for 30 years, retiring in 2010. He was a member of Leominster Eagles #477 and the Leominster Sportsmen’s Association.

He is survived by his son, Thomas Goodrich of Rutland and his daughter, Carol A. Clouthier and her husband Robert, Jr. of Worcester; a brother, Curtis Goodrich of Dudley; a sister, Patricia Goodrich; six grandchildren, Alysia L. Clouthier, Mark J. Clouthier and his wife Marissa, Ricky Goodrich, Jonathan Goodrich, TJ Goodrich and Zack Goodrich. He is also survived by a great granddaughter, Elianna Violet Clouthier.

Calling Hours for Douglas will be on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA. Interment services will be held privately.
