Subscription Update Obituary

     Dorothy E. (Prince) Burdett, 88 of Gold Nugget Rd., died Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015 at her home after along illness.

She was the wife of Roy W. Burdett who died in 2010. She leaves five sons, Ronald Burdett of Florida, Randy Burdett of Spencer, Roy Burdett and his wife Judy of Spencer, Rex Burdett and his wife Denise of Shrewsbury and Shane Burdett of Spencer; two daughters, Rae Wilbur and her husband Rick of Spencer and Rain Schultz and her husband Fred of Spencer; two daughters in law, Anne Burdett of Worcester and Wendy Burdett of Baldwinville; 11 grand, 18 great grand and 2 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by 8 brothers and sisters.

Dorothy was a binder at The Heffernan Press in Worcester for 10 years, retiring in 1987.

She was born in Northbridge, the daughter of Paul and Margaret (Leighton) Prince and later graduated from Doherty High School in Worcester. She was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church. She enjoyed playing bingo and loved to crochet for her family.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 7 at 10 a.m. in the First Congregational Church of Spencer, 205 Main St., Spencer. Calling hours at the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer are Sunday, Dec. 6 from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to V.N.A. Care Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, Ma. 01608.
