Subscription Update Obituary

     Dorothea L. (Rice) Gray, 95, formerly of West Boylston and Winthrop died Friday, June 10 in Boston.

Her husband, Arthur E. Gray, Jr. died in 1988. She leaves three children, Janet Johnson and her husband, Raymond of Choctaw, OK, Lynne Moriarty and her husband, Tim of Worcester and Arthur E. Gray, III of Winthrop; several grandchildren spread around the country, among them, Aubrey and Shannon and many great-grandchildren. Her daughter, Patricia Armstrong and her grandson, Donald Clark predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Henry and Roma L. (Phipps) Rice and graduated from Commerce High School.

Dorothea worked at the former Robert’s Pharmacy in West Boylston for many years. She was a member of the First Congregational Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She had a great love of volunteering and most recently spent time doing so at Winthrop Hospital. Dorothea enjoyed, knitting, painting, sewing and was an animal lover.

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, June 14 at 10AM in FAY BROTHERS Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A Visiting Hour will be held from 9-10AM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St., Worcester, 01606.
