Subscription Update Obituary

     Doris M. (Allen) Marmat, 94 died Friday, November 17, 2017 at Shrewsbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with her loving family by her side. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Joseph D. and Rose (Danforth) Allen and graduated from Commerce High School. Mrs. Marmat worked at Don Fredrick Outer Apparel for 17 years as a clothing inspector. She enjoyed word search puzzles, visiting the casino and would often be found with a scratch ticket in her hand.

Mrs. Marmat was predeceased by her husband, Edwin J. “Buster” Marmat in 1978. She is survived by three daughters, Janet Bedell and her husband Richard of Worcester, Gail Negoshian and her husband Jack of Westborough and Paula Daigle of Worcester, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her three siblings; Margaret Rice, Ralph Allen and Marion Duclos.

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 21st at 11:00 am at Callahan Fay & Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester. Visiting hours will also be held on Tuesday from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden Street, Worcester, MA 01606.
