Subscription Update Obituary

On Tuesday, June 28, 2022, Doris Jean (Logan) Leard died peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Born July 4, 1932, Doris was raised in Worcester, Massachusetts, and graduated from David Hale Fanning Trade High School. She was the youngest of ten children. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Gertrude (Sanders) Logan.

Doris was predeceased by her husband, Wendall A. Leard; her siblings Floyd Logan; Jack Logan; Russell Logan; Arthur Logan; Robert Logan; Lillia (Logan) Chabot; Shirley (Logan) Landry; and Muriel (Logan) Fleming.

She is survived by her sister Beverly (Logan) Pope; her daughters Linda (Leard) Caron and her husband, Chris Caron; Donna Leard and her husband, Mark Morawiec; Wendy Leard; Heidi (Leard) Swallow and her husband, Bob Swallow; Holly (Leard) Bacon and her husband, Tom Bacon; Heather (Leard) Thurston; former son-in-law Jay Thurston; and her grandchildren Justin Thurston and his wife, Kristine Thurston; Caroline Bacon; Ellis Swallow; Wes Morawiec; Shelby Robin; and her husband, Michael Robin; many loving nieces and nephews.

She was an avid quilter and enjoyed baking, crafting, sewing, and holiday decorating. She taught Sunday School at Wilbraham United Church, worked at Hickory Farms and at Holden Sanitation in Holden, Massachusetts, for many years.

The family would like to thank the staff at Magnolia Trails for their many hours of dedication, kindness, care, friendship, and patience.

The family is grateful that Doris is at peace.

The burial at Worcester County Memorial Park will be private.
