Subscription Update Obituary

     Dorene J. (Baker) Butler Brodd, 66, passed away on Sun., Dec. 3, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital after a battle with cancer. She was born in Northbridge, the daughter of Herbert and Grace (Ebbeling) Baker and had lived in Rutland for 40 years.

Dorene was predeceased by her first husband, Ronald Butler, Sr.; her daughter, Wendy Corbin; her brother, Herbert Baker, Jr.; and her granddaughter, Nicole. She leaves her loving husband of 15 years, Lee Brodd; her daughter, Heidi Nuzzolilo and her husband, Mark of Worcester; her son, Ronald Butler, Jr. of Virginia; her grandchildren, Alexi, Nicholas, Benjamin, Joyce, Virginia, Sheree and her husband, Paul; her sister, Janet Burns and her husband, Robert of Millville; her son-in-law, Daniel Corbin of Texas; her sisters-in-law, Sheila Baker Doolin of Florida; and nieces and nephews.

Dorene graduated from Northbridge High School in 1969. She worked at State Mutual for thirty-three years and retired from Leominster Credit Union in 2013. She was a member of First Congregational Church of Rutland and enjoyed traveling, reading, country music and loved to spend time with her family.

Calling hours for Dorene will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thurs., Dec. 7, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Fri., Dec. 8, in the First Congregational Church of Rutland, 264 Main St. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
