Subscription Update Obituary

     Dolores Mae (Richardson) Thompson, 87 of Worcester passed away home to the lord Wednesday April 6, 2016.

Dolores was born in Worcester; her parents were the late, Roland and Hazel (DeWitt) Richardson. She graduated from Becker College and has lived here all her life. Dolores worked as a chef for over 20 years for the City of Worcester School department serving most of those years at South High School. She previously worked in several nursing homes and the former City Hospital.

Dolores is survived by her devoted son, Steven Thompson; Many nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was pre deceased by three siblings; two brothers, Roland “Buddy” Richardson, and Arthur DeWitt and a sister, Barbara Spence.

Dolores was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed travel, especially to the Bahamas, Florida and Disney; Dolores loved animals cooking, watching Police Drama’s and being with her son.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 12th at 11:00 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. A period of calling hours will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am prior to the service.
