Diane M. Dufault, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend passed away August 24 after a brief illness. Diane was born October 22, 1954 in Athol, the daughter of the late Claude B. and Norma (Fagan) Dufault. She grew up in Worcester, graduating from Notre Dame Academy in 1972. Diane attended Regis College and following graduation in 1976 worked briefly in Boston before moving to New York City where she would spend the next thirty years. She loved everything about NYC, making many life long friends and sharing her talents as a writer, photographer and producer. Diane returned to the Boston area where she continued to enjoy work as a freelance writer and photographer.

Diane loved to laugh, had a wonderful sense of humor, and most of all took great pleasure in bringing joy to others. She will be remembered as warm, generous and thoughtful. She had a heart of gold.

Diane leaves two bothers, Dr. Paul Dufault and his wife MaryAnne of Shrewsbury and Ronald Dufault and his wife Ana of Lake Forest, California. She will be deeply missed by her three nieces, Jennifer, Briana and Danielle Dufault and three nephews, Paul and his wife Caitlin, Christopher and his fiancée Iris, and Kevin Dufault. She also leaves two grand nieces, Julia and Caroline Dufault. In addition she leaves two aunts, Lucille Dufault of Holden and Christine Dufault of Evian-les-Bains, France along with many cousins and close friends.

Services will be private. A celebration of Diane’s life will be held on a future date.
