Denise J. (Tucker) Clark, 77, beloved wife of the late Robert Clark, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home, surrounded by the love of her family, on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. Born in Worcester, she was a daughter of the late James and Rita (Fournier) Tucker.

Denise was a graduate of Commerce High School and went on to enjoy a long career as an LPN for Rutland Heights State Hospital and the Jewish Healthcare Center. Denise and Robert settled in Rutland where together they raised their family. She was always the life of the party in the neighborhood and will be remembered for “feeding the world”. She was a faithful member of St. Patrick’s Church and served on the bereavement committee for many years. In her spare time, she could often be found enjoying a good game of Cribbage or Boggle with friends and family.

She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her three children, Jacqueline Clark of Worcester, Melissa Talbert of Rutland and Jeff Clark and his wife, Britt of Paxton; her brother, James Tucker and his wife, Joanne of SC; a sister, Joanne Petty of Holden; two grandchildren, Madison and Ethan Talbert; two nieces, Suzanne St. Pierre of UT and Francine Enberg of Holden; and a nephew, Richard Eckhardt of Rutland. In addition to her husband of 38 years and her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, June Fife.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25 at St. Patrick’s Church, 290 Main Street, Rutland. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Rutland Food Pantry or to St. Patrick’s Church.
