Subscription Update Obituary

     David T. Chaput, 68, formerly of E. Brookfield, passed away Wednesday, April 5 in his home after a brief illness. He is survived by two children; his daughter Melissa S. Chaput of Worcester and his son Daniel A. Chaput and his wife Tina also of Worcester, Four grandsons; Patrick, Daniel Jr., Aidan, and Cade, two siblings; Donald C. Chaput of Oklahoma and Terri A. Wilkin of E. Brookfield and many nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by Three brothers; R. Bradford Chaput, Bruce A. Chaput and Brien F. Chaput and a sister Carole Leasot.

Born in Middletown, Ct. on May 9, 1948 he was the son of Ernest T. and Violet E. (Arpin) Chaput. David served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. An avid military historian, he also enjoyed making military models. He worked as a supervisor for Reed Plastics in Holden for 40 years until his retirement in 2007. David enjoyed cooking, collecting stamps and coins, and had a passion for photography, some of his photos were even published in the Nation Photography Assoc. He was a member of the American Legion in Spencer, the VFW Post 15022, the Disabled American Veterans Quaboag #59, and the National Rifle Assoc.

His Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 10 at 11:00 AM in J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. A calling hour will precede the service from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Donations in David’s memory may be made to: The Veterans Inc, 69 Grove St. Worcester, MA 01605.
