David T. Elliott, 61 of Worcester passed away surrounding by his family on Friday, June 3, 2016 in his home.

David was born on November 17, 1954 in Worcester and was preceded in death by his father, Richard Elliott and his mother, Shirley A. (Taylor) Elliott. He was a graduate of Doherty High School and has lived in Worcester all his life.

David is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Anne Marie (Elie) Elliott; his son, Marcel R. Elliott of Worcester; a sister, Liane McMurran and her husband Scott of Huntsville, Alabama; many nieces of nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Steven Elliott.

David was a Worcester Firefighter serving Worcester for 38 years, retiring in March of 2016. He was a member of the Worcester Fire Brigade Pipes & Drums.

Family, friends and others whose lives David touch are invited to MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester form 4 pm to 8pm on Tuesday, May 7, 2016. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in David’s memory may be sent to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St, Worcester, MA 01606.
