Subscription Update Obituary

     David C. Lekstrom, 58, of the Rochdale section of Leicester, passed away Wednesday, July 5 in St. Vincent Hospital, surrounded by his family after being suddenly stricken ill.

He leaves his wife of 35 years, Brenda M. (Burtt) Lekstrom, two sons; Ryan R. Lekstrom of Rochdale and Erik D. Lekstrom and his wife Allison of Framingham, a brother Robert Lekstrom and his wife Sandra of North Grosvenordale, CT, a sister Sandra LeFrancois and her husband Robert of North Carolina and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Gerald W. Lekstrom.

David was born in Worcester, son of Robert and Kathleen (Turner) Lekstrom. He graduated from Leicester High School. He was an Inventory Manager at DGI Technologies in N. Billerica. He was a dedicated member of Greenville Baptist Church. He enjoyed camping, being outdoors and spending time with his beloved family and friends. He greatly enjoyed coaching both of his sons’ soccer teams for many years. He was an avid Boston sports fan. He was most happy when spending time with his family and friends. David will be forever remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, big smile, and loving and welcoming hugs.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 11 at 10:00 AM in the Greenville Baptist Church, 684 Pleasant Street, Rochdale. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Monday, July 10 from 4:00-7:00 PM in MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Greenville Baptist Church, P.O. Box 396, Rochdale, MA 01542.
