Subscription Update Obituary

Cynthia L. (Richards) Migneault, 82, of Bailey Road, died peacefully on Monday, July 31, 2023, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus, surrounded by her family.  She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Kenneth J. Migneault of Oxford; five children, Debra A. McKenna and her husband William of Wells, ME, Herbert W. York III and his companion Mary Dennison of Oxford, Mary F. Mattero and her husband Joseph of Worcester, David P. York and his wife Pamela of Melbourne, FL, and Patricia M. Smith of Oxford; three brothers, Linwood Richards and his wife Nancy of Florida, James Richards of Manchaug, and Randy Richards and his wife Zonny of Millbury; two sisters, Ethel O’Day of Holiday, FL, and Betty Richard of Manchaug; 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  She was born in Springfield, daughter of the late Purse and Ellen (Tanner) Richards, and lived in Manchaug before moving to Oxford in 1977.

Mrs. Migneault enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, arts and crafts, and watching Hallmark movies year-round.  She spent winters in Holiday, FL, for 21 years after her husband’s retirement, and enjoyed traveling to Hampton Beach.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116.  Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
