Subscription Update Obituary

Cindy L. (Primroy) Fotos, 75, of Worcester passed away Monday, March 7 in Holy Trinity Nursing Center.

She leaves her husband of 54 years, Evans Fotos; two daughters, Sophia Wynne and her husband, Michael of Marshfield and Sandra Soter and her husband, Robert of Spencer; five grandchildren, Anthony and his wife, Mollie, Hayden, Evans, Nicolas and Gabrielle; one great-grandchild soon to arrive; three sisters, Barbara Ann Bragg and her husband, David, Beverly Ellis and her husband, Darrel all of St. John’s, Newfoundland and Rosaline Mitchell and her husband, Joseph of Burin, Newfoundland and nieces and nephews. A sister, Shirley Whalen, predeceased her.

She was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada, daughter of Lester Primory and Edith (Sainsbury) Gruchy.

Cindy was a hostess and manager at the former Webster House Restaurant in Worcester for 30 years. She was a member of Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and trips to the casino. Cindy loved wintering in Florida and spending time on the beach, but most of all she loved being a YiaYia to her five grandchildren.

Cindy’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Holy Trinity Nursing Center for their exceptional care.

A Visiting Hour will be held Friday, March 11 from 10-11am in Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell St. with A Funeral Service to begin at 11am. Burial will then follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral or to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute at dana-farber.org.
