Cynthia A. Sestito, 83, of Grafton, passed away peacefully at home on January 30, 2023, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer for over 5 years. She was the daughter of the late Edgar J. and Josephine (Grensavitch) White, born and raised on Barrows Road off Salisbury Street in Worcester where she attended city schools graduating from Commerce High School. She married the love of her life, Paul C. Sestito in 1960 and the couple settled in Paxton where they raised their family and lived for many happy years. Cynthia devoted herself to raising her family and making a beautiful home.

She is survived by her family, daughter Luann (husband John) Bechard of Grafton with whom she lived, daughter Louisa (husband John) Corazzini of Paxton, and son Paul (wife Dr. Lisa Whitney) Sestito of St. Johnsbury, VT, seven grandchildren Nicole Fresolo, Rochelle Gale, Paul Bechard, Jill Corazzini, Emma Sestito, Josephine Sestito, and Cappi Sestito; four great-grandchildren, Rocco and Stella Fresolo, Skylar and Aiden Gale; her sister Beverly and husband Ernest Leveillee of Rutland, brother in law Jeremiah Giorgio of Worcester, sister-in-law, Frances Anderson of Nashua, NH and many cousins, nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband Paul in 1996, her sister Valerie Giorgio in 2007, a brother-in-law Bud Anderson in 2022 and her close friend Bob Wahlgren in 2021.

Cindy was a hard worker her entire life from Melville Shoe in her younger years, Paxton Municipal Light Dept., Banquet Waitress at the El Morocco and finally co-owning and operating Sbrogna’s Auto School with her close friend and partner, Bob Wahlgren, until her retirement. She was an avid card, cribbage and domino player for many years and frequented Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun and Twin River for an occasional game of chance. She enjoyed wintering in Zephyrhills, FL with many close friends from all over the U. S. for more than ten years.

The family would like to recognize the tremendous care she received over the past 5 years from Dr. Venu Bathini of Charles River Medical Associates, the UMass Nursing Staff and the recent care she received from Faith and Family Hospice of Marlborough.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. followed immediately by a funeral service on Friday, February 3, 2023, at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richard’s Ave., Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Alliance c/o UMass Memorial Foundation, 333 South St., Shrewsbury, MA 01545.
