Subscription Update Obituary

Corine J. (Benoit) Biando, 75, went into God’s hands on October 21, 2011 with her family and loving husband of 54 years, James W. Biando by her side.

Corine leaves behind 7 children, David and his wife Linda, Ernest and his wife Kelly, James and his wife Irene, Brenda Davis and companion Donald Chase, Anthony and his wife Kimberly, William, Bonnie Harvey and companion Richard Ford; a sister, Tiney of North Brookfield; two brothers, Joseph and Jakey Benoit; 26 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Corine (Popeye as she was know to her friends) was born in North Brookfield the daughter of Theodore and Amy Benoit (Harvender). She worked for the Brookfield Athletic Shoe Company for many years before retiring. Ma, as she became know to her grandchildren enjoyed playing cards, having her family over for cookouts, Foxwoods and calling her children to give advice and to let them know she was always there. Ma’s favorite time of year was Christmas when she could set up her tree with all the lights and spoil her grandchildren with the many presents under the tree. Ma loved Elvis, her favorite song was Love Me Tender and her husband James fulfilled her love of the song and always loved her tender with all his heart. She will be sadly missed by all.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 from 5-8PM in Pillsbury Funeral Home 44 Gilbert St., North Brookfield. The funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM in St. Josephs Church, 296 Main St., N. Brookfield. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The WashBurn Hospice Residence, 1183 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01603.
