Subscription Update Obituary

Claire E. (Ledoux) Lauring, 83, of Worcester died Friday, October 14, 2011 in UMass Medical Center.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Raymond J. Lauring; three sons, Mark A. Lauring and his wife, Susan, John P. Lauring and his wife, Kathleen and James M. Lauring and his wife, Ann; her daughter, Maryanne L. Seibold and her husband, David all of Worcester; her son-in-law, Timothy B. Kennedy of Worcester. She was predeceased by her daughter, Lisa L. Kennedy who died last year. She also leaves behind a brother, Roland Ledoux of Boylston; three sisters, Jeanette Desautels, Yvette Prosser and Rolande Ledoux all of Worcester; 23 grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.

She was born in Worcester, the daughter of George and Juliette (Bourassa) Ledoux; and was a graduate of Holy Name High School. Mrs. Lauring devoted her life to her husband, children and grandchildren; including many summer long camp sessions at “the pool”. She had been employed as a bookkeeper for Garrapy Plating and Lauring Construction Company for many years. Mrs. Lauring had volunteered for many local charities including Catholic Charities, Christ the King Church, Memorial Hospital, Assumption College, and the Worcester Public Schools. She was a Lady of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, and was a long time member of Christ the King Parish.

Her funeral is Monday, October 17th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with her funeral Mass at 11:30 AM in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant Street. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park. Calling hours are Sunday, October 16th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Visitation House, 119 Endicott Street, Worcester, MA 01610.
