Christopher Gagliastre was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on January 12, 1969 and died April 4, 2022 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina at age 53 of natural causes. He leaves behind his mother Cynthia Plitnick, father Anthony Gagliastre, step-father Alfred Plitnick, many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and his dog, Buncini.

Chris grew up in Worcester and Oxford, Massachusetts. He worked for a time in Las Vegas and eventually settled in Myrtle Beach. Chris visited Worcester often to visit his father, relatives and friends. He was an only child and made the time to be around those he loved. With a big heart, a winning smile, Italian hugs, and a great boyish laugh, he could be found in his numerous circles of friends. Chris was always happy, no matter the circumstances.

As a confirmed bachelor, he loved to travel, relax, and make people laugh. He was a funny man. Chris made a living working in the food industry, but work was not as important as his family and friends. He lived near his mother, Cynthia (her maiden name was Van Batenburg) and Al in S.C. and stopped by to visit them often. Chris stayed in touch with his aunts and uncles, of which he has many and was close to the Oxford friends he grew up with. His friends in Myrtle Beach held a gathering to honor Chris’s life a week after his body left this earth. His spirt will live in us forever. For those that knew Chris, he always made you feel good in his presence.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, May 22nd at 2pm. Chris will be laid to rest at the Worcester County Memorial Park located at 217 Richards Ave, Paxton, MA. A celebration of Christopher’s life will be held following the service at the Oxford VFW located at 20 Federal Hill Rd, Oxford, MA. All are welcome. Bring a dish fit for king to share. Donations can be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League 139 Holden St, Worcester, MA 01606 in Chris’s name. May he rest in peace.
