Subscription Update Obituary

     Christine E, (Kingdon) McNamara, 64, passed away suddenly, Sunday, Oct. 8 at her home in Dolan Springs, AZ.

She is predeceased by her husband, John A. McNamara III in 2000 and former husband, Charles McCue in 2013.

Christine leaves her mother, Jacqueline M. (Letourneau) Kingdon, her daughter, Bonnie J. Smith and her husband Robert of Dolan Springs, her granddaughter, Samantha Buck of Worcester, her sisters, Cynthia Kingdon of Auburn, Ellen Stachura and her husband Douglas of Westfield, Jacalyn Habiger of Virginia Beach, VA, and Marsha Kingdon of Westfield, several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and many cousins. She also leaves her beloved cat”Ben”.

Cris was born in Worcester and grew up in Leicester. She lived most of her life in central Massachusetts and Florida before recently moving with her family to Dolan Springs, AZ.

Cris worked many years as a cook and cafeteria manager for Worcester Vocational High School and then as a certified Hospice caregiver helping the elderly and disabled.

Christine loved people and was a warm and caring friend and companion. She loved to laugh and had a wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed her family and was a talented scrapbook and needle craft artist.

Cris was a wonderful person who will be sorely missed by those who loved her.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, Oct. 16 from the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Sunday, Oct 15 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the funeral home. Flowers may be sent or contributions made to a charity of choice.
