Subscription Update Obituary

Christina Amelia (Healy) Metz, daughter of the late Michael T. Healy (Worcester, Mass.) and the late Irene P. (Nellos) Myers (Worcester, Mass.), passed away on February 22, 2019. She was a resident of Clearwater, Florida. She was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on December 12, 1961 and is survived by her brother Thomas Healy of Weymouth, Mass.; her sister Deirdre Healy of Worcester; her nephew and niece Gregory Healy and Isabella Healy, both of Weymouth as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She enjoyed a career in modeling prior to her marriage to Thomas Metz. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse and earned a Master of Public Health degree in 1998. She moved to Clearwater, Florida to enjoy its sunnier and warmer climate.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2022 from 1-3 p.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. A funeral service will be held on Monday March 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral 102 Russell St. Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Christina’s memory may be made to the Worcester County Food Bank.
