Cheryl Ann Ricard, 75, passed away with her family by her side on the morning of December 3, 2023.

She was predeceased by her husband Joseph ‘Bill” Ricard, her brother Kenneth P. Ricard and her son Rex E. Ricard.

Cheryl leaves behind John Jerkins, her life partner, her children, James P. Ricard and his wife Tracey of Jacksonville, FL, Kenneth A. Ricard and his wife Sylwia of Webster, MA and Victoria Crosbie and her fiancé Michael Prefontaine of Rutland, MA, Joseph W. Ricard and his wife Leigh of Jacksonville, FL, Annette M. Fredette and her husband Lenny of Worcester, MA and Daniel L. Ricard of Worcester, MA, her sisters Gail Ricard of Florida, Diane Murphy and her husband Thomas of Sutton, MA, her brother Robert Ricard and his wife Cindy of Florida. Cheryl also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was born in Worcester, Massachusetts to Kenneth P. Ricard and Norma Y. (Daoust) Ricard. Cheryl married Joseph “Bill” Ricard on July 18, 1969. They raised their family in Auburn, MA before moving to Oxford, MA in 1985. In 1998 Cheryl and Bill moved to Florida. Bill passed away December 7, 2006

Cheryl loved traveling with John, whom she met in 2010. She enjoyed going to her summer camp in Stafford Springs, CT. especially Bingo nights. She was also very active in the Transplant community at UF Shands Gainesville for 7 years after John received his double lung transplant. She never failed to remember the small details, including sending a hand-written birthday note each year to her loved ones, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends! Her thoughtfulness, compassion, and loving heart will be deeply missed by all.

Services will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, Auburn, MA on Saturday January 13th, 2023 at 9:30AM, followed by the burial at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, MA with a celebration of life at J. Anthony’s Italian Grill in Auburn, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The University of Florida/SHANDS Transplant Team.
