Subscription Update Obituary

     Charlotte Renee (LaVallee) Dietlin, 81, passed away November 2, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born in Providence, Rhode Island, the daughter of Yvonne A. (Peck) and Rene J. LaVallee. She leaves her husband of 61 years, Donald H. Dietlin, Sr.; her children, Donna Chaisson and her husband James of Charlton, Paula Normindin of Spencer, Patricia D’Agostino and her husband Michael of Charlton, Donald Dietlin, Jr. and his wife Susan of Charlton, Charlene Anderson and her husband Robert of Auburn, and Joseph Dietlin of Auburn. Her children, Kathleen and Baby Joseph predeceased her. She leaves her grandchildren, Jonathan Adams, Charissa Kelly, Donald Dietlin III, Robert Anderson, Chelsea Dietlin, Ryan Dietlin, Bryan Dietlin, and step grandchildren, Kelly Keiley, Nicholas and Scott D’Agostino, and Christopher Jordan. She also leaves her great grandchildren, Dylan Dietlin, Celeste Dietlin, Mila Kelly, and step great grandchildren, Lillyanna and Jarid Jordan. She leaves her brothers, Albert West and Charles Gilbert, and her sisters, Barbara Paine, June Gilbert and Joyce Mandella. Her sisters, Gertrude Fanion and Claire Baltramaitis predeceased her.
     Charlotte attended Auburn public schools. She was a manager for W.T. Grant in Providence. She retired from The Marriott Corporation at Assumption College after 25 years. Her greatest joy was her family. She enjoyed trips to Narragansett Rhode Island, Maine and Foxwoods.
     The family would like to thank her primary care physician, Dr. Gary Tanguay, of Chadwick Medical Associates, for the exceptional care she received during her prolonged illness.
A funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, from Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Ann’s Church, 652 Main Street, North Oxford. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Monday, November 5, 2012, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
